Upbeat domestic bliss and big-city amenities, all within arm's reach.

Welcome to Northwest Austin

Located right outside Austin proper and within easy reach of everything, Northwest Austin remains separate from downtown traffic while maintaining a stable urban environment. The region includes nearby Cedar Park, home of the Texas Stars and Austin Spurs, fast-growing Leander, and the less-populated Liberty Hill. Northwest Austin strikes the perfect balance for those seeking a peaceful lifestyle near Austin’s never-ending action.

What to Love

  • The clean, well-maintained suburban environment
  • Access to Austin's finest amenities without the traffic
  • Abundant natural spaces

Local Lifestyle

With its many parks, lakes, and other natural amenities, the northwestern part of the greater Austin area revolves around a quiet, laid-back suburban pace. Locals enjoy on-demand access to Austin's more boisterous side, though still removed from the major crowds. This balance affords residents the idyllic Texas good life with proximity to metropolitan amenities, giving Northwest Austin a unique sense of upbeat serenity you won't find anywhere else.

Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping

For your general shopping needs, you'll find major department stores and over 150 shops at the Lakeline Mall, located at Highway 45 and Highway 183. There's also no shortage of main events, including beloved national acts at the HEB Event center, an ice hockey arena that converts to a concert and event center space.

Locals can't get enough of Stiles Switch BBQ, a polished, easy-going diner serving the biggest Texas BBQ with an incredible selection of craft beers. You can get brunch-style comfort food at Gloria's Cafe & Bakery, a happy and homey café that features fresh-baked goods, biscuits and gravy, and other delectable breakfast-diner mainstays. Some of our personal favorites also include Foxhole Culinary Tavern and Freda’s Seafood Grille.

With Cedar Park's new Bell District development in the works, Northwest Austin may attract more attention from its famous central hub, especially those looking to expand outwards. Bell District will feature a highly walkable and cohesive blend of upscale retail and dining establishments, on-site residences, and a well-funded library along its green creek-side strip. It's just one of several major developments underway in Austin's northwest corner.

Things to Do

Skip the traffic into downtown Austin and get your art fix at Cedar Park Sculpture Garden. Here, a pleasant meadow stroll rewards you with an attractive and varied range of passionate and impressive works. Book a reservation with Bent Oak Winery for an incredible date out, which features the finest regional wines during their formal wine-tasting events.

The large Brushy Creek Lake Park is perfect for families, where meadow pastures line the large, beautiful lake. You can explore the shoreline or enjoy the rich smell of wildflowers carried by the crisp lakeside breeze. Veterans Memorial Park is another impressive park that is a bold reminder of the determination and independent spirit that made the Northwest Austin lifestyle possible.
